Thisio - Ancient Agora of Athens
Thisio is a small district of Athens located near the Acropolis. It has been characterized as a traditional settlement. It took its name from the Temple of Hephaestus, formerly called Theseus. In the area of Thisio you will find the Ancient Market of Athens, which is the most striking example of an ancient Greek market. Today, the area of Thisio is a well-known night spot, full of cafes and bars. It is an ideal area for a walk around the rock of the Acropolis.
